We are hiring an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience for an established Elder Law firm in the Martin County Area. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience in Estate planning, Probate & Trust administration, Guardianship.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough reviews and analyses of clients' financial and personal situations to develop effective estate plans.
- Providing guidance on complex estate and gift tax matters
- Working with paralegals, the senior attorney and support staff.
- Drafting and, once experienced, finalizing pleadings and estate planning.
- Assisting in the prep work for discovery and both walk through and contested hearings.
- Compassionately working with clients often experiencing emotional events.
- Learning practice related software and billing practices.
- Interacting with court and clerk personnel and other attorneys in a professional manner for the benefit of our clients.
- Part Time considered - Full Time Preferred
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- 0-5 years litigation experience in elder law or similar field.
- Litigation experience preferred in Estate planning, Probate & Trust administration, Guardianship.
- Florida Bar license. Will consider candidate with a pending Florida Bar exam.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An openness to learning new areas of law and meeting the clients' needs and timeframes.
- A passion for helping clients with their families' often challenging elder law issues.
